The Ministry of the ESU soon gives biometric cards to the students of the DRC

The Minister of Higher Education and Universities (ESU), Steve Mbikay, officially launched on Tuesday, May 09, 2017, the Operation Training Seizure Operators (OPS), to enroll students from all universities of the DRC. The ceremony took place on the premises of the company INOVEXI located on the boulevard of June 30th.

For the General Manager of this company that won the market, the effective enrollment of the students must begin next Monday in Kinshasa. According to Jackson Briston Lukaba, each seized trader is asked to enroll at least 1,000 students for a month and a half. Hence, according to him, the need to upgrade each operator to properly perform this work. However, Briston Lukaba did not reveal the exact amount of this investment. His company must not only issue the biometric cards to the students but also other documents such as coastlines, school certificates or transfer letters.

For his part, Minister Steve Mbikayi encourages this company, created and led by the Congolese, to properly fulfill its mission. According to him, the private academic institutions will also be constrained to the same exercise. Note that the price of this card must be between 5 and 10 US dollars. The Ministry of Higher Education and Universities must also determine whether students must pay these fees directly or that they must be charged academic fees.
